Erik Anderson graduated with a Master of Music in Trombone Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He regularly performed with the IU University Orchestra, IU Trombone Choir, and Historical Performance Institute. Mr. Anderson has participated in the Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra, Hot Springs Music Festival Orchestra, San Francisco Early Music Society Summer Workshop, and was a finalist for the International Trombone Association Larry Wiehe Competition in 2013. Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance at the University of North Texas. His primary teachers are Carl Lenthe, Vern Kagarice, Jan Kagarice, Linda Pearse, and Peter Kline.
Erik Anderson currently freelances and is a native of San Antonio, Texas. Aside from maintaining his private lesson studio throughout the city, Erik performs with the San Antonio Philharmonic as Assistant Principal Trombone, Mid-Texas Symphony, Opera San Antonio, San Antonio Brass Band, and Sonido Barroco San Antonio. Erik enjoys cooking, skeet & trap shooting, motorcycling, and fantasy media.
